I want to sincerely express my gratitude and thank you for giving me an opportunity to be a part of VnHOPE. Going on a medical mission trip has been on my bucket list for a while now and I can finally say that it was above and beyond what I had expected. This trip was so meaningful to me in many ways. First and foremost, I fulfilled a promise I made to this country when I immigrated to the U.S. I made a promise to give back to the country that brought me back to life.
Being back in Vietnam, I felt a sense of purpose, a desire to give it my all and support the mission of VnHOPE. VnHOPE is unlike any other organizations I have worked with before. It didn’t feel like this was my first time going on this trip. I was welcomed with open arms, mentored by providers who have never met me before, and inspired by everyone as we all shared a common goal- to make a difference in the lives of others.
Thank you for supporting me and teaching me to become a next generation leader. The lessons and skills I’ve learned from this trip, I will remember forever.
